Cheap drinks no problem

21/05/2008 9:22:00 AM
The office of Gaming and Racing has given the thumbs up to a promotion run by Bowral Hotel last Friday night.

The News received two phone calls last week from people concerned with a $3 drinks night that coincided with a U2 cover band performance at the hotel.

The discounted drinks included beer, wine and spirits.

Prompted by the News, a spokesperson from Gaming and Racing investigated and found that the level of discounting was not excessive, did not include straight nips, and light alcohol and soft drinks were still offered at a cheaper price.

The hotel had also employed extra security for the night and there were no alcohol-related problems, at the hotel or surrounding neighbourhood, reported to police.

Why can't people just get the hell over themselves and not have to whinge and whine over anything that is alcohol related. Mature up and go back to the rock you live under. Chances are you have moved here from the bloody city so if you don't like country life leave!
