18 Sep, 2009 11:27 AM
AN Elderly woman was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital on Tuesday night after her car crashed into the cutting on Wilson Drive, Hill Top.

The 82-year-old was trapped in her Cielo Daewoo shortly after 7.30pm when her car collided with the embankments on both sides of the cutting as she was heading north.

The Berrima District Rescue Squad freed her from her car and she was taken to Boronia Park where she was airlifted to Sydney.

The woman suffered cuts to her head and was in a stable condition by Wednesday morning.
