Festival shines a ray of light on cancer research

3/07/2009 5:57:00 PM
Lucinda James, 6, got into the spirit of the Ray of Hope Winter Lantern Festival, held at the old Steiner School site on Saturday (mid-winter). The line-up of winter solstice activities included fire twirlers, a lantern walk and the lighting of the first flame, with all money raised on the night donated to the Ray of Hope charity organisation to aid breast cancer research.
