BAD weather washed out Centennial’s Jimmy Barnes and Joe Cocker concert in February but the vineyard has more than made up for it by securing global superstar Alicia Keys for the December Day on the Green.
The multi Grammy award-winning R&B beauty will be supported by 2007 American Idol winner Jordin Sparks and Adelaide hip hop group Lowrider in a huge Sunday afternoon concert.
With 30 million album sales, 11 Grammy Awards, four US number one albums, and most recently being awarded the prestigious honour of recording the next James Bond theme with Jack White, Alicia Keys has set herself apart from many contemporaries.
Keys received rave reviews and sold out every single show on her first Australian tour in 2004 so Bowral is very privileged to receive its own concert when she returns this year.
For last year’s American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, A Day on the Green will be her first live Australian performance, so for Bowral to be her destination of choice is something else Centennial is certainly proud of.
