New speed zones for Berrima Public

2/05/2008 11:17:20 AM
The RTA has announced new school zones will be implemented outside Berrima Public School during June on the Old Hume Highway.

Motorists will be restricted to a 40km speed limit within the zone stretching from the entry to Berrima into the centre of the village.

The new zone adds to the existing one in place on Oxley Street, which provides the main access into Berrima Public School.

“The RTA has agreed to the proposal to extend the school 40km zone onto the Old Hume Highway,” an RTA spokesperson said.

Spokeswoman for Goulburn MP Pru Goward, Keri Ahmet said discussions with Berrima Public School and the RTA were constructive in assuring the creation of new school zones.
