WHAT to do after finishing high school was on the minds of students from four high schools on Tuesday.
They attended a TAFE Taster Day at Moss Vale campus to find out the courses available to them.
Now its fifth year, the day was a hit with students again.
More than 150 students from Bowral High School, Moss Vale High School, Chevalier College and Southern Highlands Christian School attended.
TAFE NSW provides training for hundreds of careers.
Moss Vale campus administration manager Sylvia Sylvester said in many of the training areas there were emerging skill shortages and very strong and profitable employment possibilities.
“The purpose of the ‘Taster Day’ is to expose students to a range of the courses available at their local TAFE Campus, provide some hands-on activities and offer information on job outcomes and entry requirements in those fields,” she said.
The invitation is extended to all Year 10 students to participate in this event which is held annually at Moss Vale Campus.
“We believe it will be an interesting and highly beneficial time, especially ahead of making subject choices for Year 11 and 12 or considering post school options.
Sessions available for students to participate in were agriculture, arts and media, automotive, beauty, business services and information technology, child studies, conservation and land management, engineering - metal fabrication and welding, engineering - electrotechnology, horticulture, tourism and hospitality.
