SOUTH Australian Aaron Mullins, 18, is the 2009/10 Bradman Scholar.
Announced at the Sydney Cricket Ground during the Sir Donald Bradman birthday celebrations last week, Mullins will receive an allowance of $5000 per year to assist with accommodation and academic experience while studying at university.
The 99.94 scholarship was open to any young Australian cricketer, male or female, who had shown excellence both on the cricket field and in learning.
Mullins was also selected for displaying qualities including integrity, community spirit and good sportsmanship.
The 18-year-old is an allrounder who bowls left-arm orthodox spin and is a member of the Australian under-18 talent squad.
He is in his second semester of studying commerce at the University of Adelaide.
