THE Highlands District Cricket Association and the Berrima District Credit Union have joined forces with the BDCU, agreeing to sponsor the local first grade cricket competition.
The first grade competition is combined with Goulburn Association and the teams will now be playing for the BDCU Trophy and $1000 prize money.
BDCU will also offer members of both Associations competitive rates on housing and personal loans.
Chairman of the HDCA Jeff Mitchell said he was delighted that a high profile and highly respected locally based organisation such as BDCU would be contributing to local cricket.
“I am sure all our members will welcome the support of BDCU and we look forward to a continuing relationship into the future,” Mitchell said.
“Their sponsorship will be a significant boost to our clubs to compete in the first grade premiership.”
Manager of the Moss Vale BDCU advice centre Ross Webb said his organisation was pleased to be sponsoring the Association’s premier grade and to contribute to the development of cricket in the local community.
“We are looking forward to a mutually beneficial relationship and trust that BDCU’s sponsorship will help to encourage the younger members of our community to participate in this great sport,” Webb said.
