A 70-run final wicket partnership and five wickets in the last six balls saved Robertson-Burrawang’s one-day season on Saturday.
Winning the toss and batting first, Robertson made quick runs early on as Bundanoon fielded two men short.
But once Bundy’s full complement were available, the wickets started tumbling.
Bundanoon opener Tim Stirton finished his spell of eight overs with 5-19, including the prized wickets of Thompson [39], Adam Kich [10] and Damian Plain [5].
Change-bowler Rickey Doyle chipped in with two more wickets to have the Spuds reeling at 8-75 at the 20-over mark.
But Robertson hit back, with big-hitting number 11 G. Wilson bashing an unbeaten 47 to guide his team to a very competitive 9-197.
Bundanoon started their chase strongly with openers Ricky Doyle and Anthony Macdonald combining for 96 before Macdonald [49] was caught off Kich’s bowling.
Bundy limped to the drinks break to be 1-100 but were confident they could chase the total.
But Kick had other plans. He bowled Doyle [42] and had Matt Kellond caught.
Matt Jay [40] did his best to get Bundy’s chase back on track with some lusty hitting, but it was too little too late.
Heading into the final over, Bundanoon needed 22 runs to win.
But the Spuds quick Nathan Ring [5-32] took five wickets in six balls to skittle Bundy for 174, including a hattrick to end the game.
