ROBERTSON-Burrawang embarrassed Wingello at Bradman Oval on Saturday, smashing the Tigers inside a couple of hours.
Wingello batted first and were rolled for only 66, as the Spuds’ bowlers had a field day against some lacklustre batting.
Robertson bowlers Ben Buffett [3-22] and Mitchell Wright [2-8] started the rout, before James Hart [3-12], Dean Roxburgh [1-17] and Duncan Urquhart [1-3] continued to cause the Tigers trouble.
Only Wingello captain Michael Pike [15] and David Short [12] made it to double figures, despite the short boundary and quick outfield at Bradman Oval.
Robertson’s batsmen wasted no time getting the runs, reaching the target of 67 in only six overs.
Scott Shepherd led the way with an unbeaten 34, while Ben Wright hit 22 and Nathan Wright was not out on 10.
The early finish meant the Robertson boys could cheer on the club’s second grade side that scored a remarkable win at Hampden Park.
