GIBRALTAR Country Club, members and friends hosted a stroke round for the Craig Munsie Memorial Golf Trophy last Saturday.
Wayne Knapp won the trophy, playing off a handicap of 4, with a 3-under par round of 67 for nett 63.
The golf and presentation were well attended by members, family and friends of Craig Munsie, in the event’s second year.
Presentations were made by club captain Andrew Bell, who welcomed Craig’s family and friends to the club.
Overall the scores on the day were excellent and golfers are finding the course reconstruction works interesting and providing more challenges.
Knapp also took home the June A-grade medal and Gibraltar crystal from runner up Greg Morgan (11) with a nett 66.
The scratch winner was Christian Wood (Moss Vale) with 75.
John Jack off 16 won the B-grade medal on a countback with a nett 68.
Runner-up was John Arrowsmith off 15 with a nett 68. Geoff Ambler won scratch with a score of 84 on a countback.
Chris Dunne off 22 won the C-grade medal with 90 scratch for a nett 68.
Dave Holland off 20 was runner up a nett 72. Ron Berney won scratch with 94 on a countback.
The NTPs were won by Dave Smith on the Pro’s NTP tenth, Seamus Fleming the 12th, and Knapp the 15th. Birdie hole 15th was also won by Knapp.
In the ball competition, there were 13 balls handed out to net 70.
