BOWRAL High School year twelve student Casey Schaefer is a champion gymnastics coach in the making.
Twelve of Schaefer’s junior class were selected to compete in the NSW State Gymnastics Championships at Homebush in August.
Moss Vale Public School student Mariama McKern is one of Schaefer’s charges.
Mariama placed first in her division at the Championships.
Schaefer currently works for Moss Vale Gymnastics and is completing a sport and recreation Certificate II traineeship that will count toward her HSC.
Schaefer praised her students as dedicated and quick learners, but it is clear they are benefiting from a highly skilled coach.
