Moss Vale big man books date with the judiciary

AT 16-4 down midway through the first half, Moss Vale were struggling.

Their ill-disciplined play had caused them to have very little ball and things were just about to get worse. Or so it would seem.

In the 28th minute, Camden had a player held up close to the tryline.

Four Dragons defenders had somehow stopped the charging Ram from adding to his team’s 12-point lead.

And it was then that Moss Vale was reduced to 12-men.

What happened to cause the send off was unclear from the sideline, but referees’ boss John Dayball said Dragons prop Albert Fonofehi had allegedly dropped his knees into the grounded Camden player.

The front-rower had already been penalised for raising his elbow when carrying the ball and this time the whistle-blower saw no choice but to send him from the field...
