OXLEY’S first XV recovered from their first loss of the season with a 60-0 thrashing of Scots Bathurst on Saturday.
The ISA division two title hopefuls ran riot over Scots who had no answers for the Burradoo boys explosive backline. Oxley led 27-0 at the break and continued the carnage in the second term in their eight-tries-to-nil thumping.
Coach Nick Wansey said Tom Madigan, Angus Blair, Andrew Lane, Michael Dazos, Ali Jeffrey and Steve McNaught all crossed.
“We threw the ball around a bit and were dominant at the breakdown,” he said.
“Steve was fantastic and was our player’s player. His commitment with the ball and the speed of his returns along with his goal kicking makes him worth 15-20 points a game.
“Prop Andrew Lane and under-16s Jordan Burter and Robert Willshire also stood up.”
