The Short Blacks had a great day on Sunday with all three teams that played walking away with positive results.
The under-8s had a 35-35 draw with the Tig Uni Bulls, the under-12s thrashed the Tigs 55-0 and the under-16s recorded their first win in a thriller, 35-33 over the Vikings.
The under-16s’ well-deserved victory was a just reward for their perseverance and continued improvement.
Rhys Allan continued to dominate in the forwards and was again instrumental in providing the necessary go-forward.
Bowral scored five tries but Glenn Fairweather's accurate goal kicking, five from five, proved the difference.
Fullback Harley Winters capped off a great game with a hat-trick, while Joll Turner and Fairweather both crossed.
In the under-8s’ hard-fought draw, Russell Fenton got a hat-trick, Will Quirico bagged a double, while Higginson Blaik and Thomas Green also crossed.
The team started well and raced out to an early 10-0 lead but Uni fought back to lock it up 20-20 at the break.
