Bushrangers belt Bowral

BOWRAL were outplayed, out passed and outrun by Yerrinbool-Bargo at Stephens Park on Saturday. The Bushrangers cemented first spot in first grade with an impressive 3-0 win over last year's titleholders.

Luke Dinham gave the visitors a 1-0 halftime lead through a header on the near post from a corner. Josh Borg then finished off a good team goal 15 minutes into the second term after Yerrinbool pushed the ball down the right flank.

Ben Miller sealed the win 10 minutes later with another team goal. He hit in a ricocheted shot off Bowral's goalkeeper Michael Emmanuel.

Bushrangers skipper Rob Miller said his team clicked.

"It was probably our best performance of the season, but again we could of won by more if we had finished off our chances," he said.

"We worked hard at training this week at holding the ball and not moving it forward too quickly. When we do that we bypass our strongest area, our midfield."
