Exeter back in top four after win

28/07/2008 6:11:00 PM
EXETER moved back in reach of the top four with a comfortable 5-2 victory over Mittagong at Exeter Oval on Saturday.

A double from Matthew Kellond saw off Mittagong who are still yet to register a point this season.

Exeter captain Phil Cuppitt said it was an encouraging performance from the home side.

“Our performance wasn’t too bad, and we dominated for long periods of the game,” he said.

It was a disappointing result for Mittagong who had displayed vast improvement last week against Patris.

Cuppitt paid tribute to his goal scorers who put in a commanding performance in and around the penalty box.
